Flashquotes is a general booking tool for mobile vendors (coffee carts, mobile bars, photo booths on the same platform). VenVen is built for one shape of business: coffee carts only. Same transactional spine (inquiry, branded quote, deposit, contract, booked event). The difference is everything around it: cost intelligence, ZIP-level pricing data, permits, and a pricing model that does not tax your bookings.

Feature by feature
| Feature | VenVen | Flashquotes |
|---|---|---|
| True cost per serving (ingredients + overhead) VenVen models your supply cost, fuel, and commissary overhead so the margin number on every quote is real, not a guess. | Yes | No |
| ZIP-level market pricing data VenVen Pro pulls Census + BLS + weather signals for your ZIP to surface what carts like you are actually booking. Flashquotes has no market data; you price from memory. | Yes | No |
| State-specific permit + compliance tracker Updated list of mobile food permits and commissary rules by state, so a lapsed renewal never blindsides a booking. | Yes | No |
| Equipment troubleshooting + maintenance logs Log a grinder fault or a boiler issue against each machine and keep the fix history. Flashquotes does not track equipment. | Yes | No |
| Menu Builder with Brand Kit + print export Print-ready menu PDF with your fonts, colors, and brand board, not just line items on a quote. | Yes | Menu items only |
| Quote pages (branded, client approves online) Parity on the basics. Both send a branded quote the client can approve online. | Yes | Yes |
| Booking / inquiry intake forms Both drop inquiries into a pipeline. VenVen's form is coffee-shaped: guest count, drink style, event type. | Yes | Yes |
| Deposit capture (card + mobile wallets) Both run on Stripe Connect; card + Apple Pay / Google Pay auto-detected at checkout. | Yes | Yes |
| Contracts with e-signature Flashquotes markets invoices and event briefs, but we could not find e-signature called out on their public site. Verify on a demo. | Yes | Unclear |
| Inquiry pipeline / CRM Both keep inquiries in a pipeline. VenVen grades inquiries once you have enough event history to compare against. | Yes | Yes |
| Calendar sync (Google) Both push booked events to Google Calendar so they land on the calendar you already check. | Yes | Yes |
| Platform payment fee | 0% Pro / 3% Free (Stripe Connect direct, see Terms §5.2) | 3% on top of processor |
| Free plan | Forever Free + Pro trial (5 events or 14 days, whichever is later), no card | Free Forever (1 admin / 3 staff / 1 service) |
Setup and learning curve
Both tools get you taking bookings in an afternoon. The difference is what you set up. In VenVen you import a menu, add a few packages, and the cost and pricing math is already wired in because the whole product assumes coffee. In Flashquotes you configure a more generic vendor profile, since the same screens have to serve a taco truck and a photo booth.
Learning curve is similar for the booking spine. Where VenVen asks more of you up front is the cost side: spend twenty minutes entering real supply costs once, and every quote after that carries a true margin number. That is work Flashquotes never asks for, because it never promises the number.
Migrating is low risk either way. Keep your current booking link live, run one real event through VenVen, and compare the quote and the margin it reports against what you would have charged. If the number is not better, you have lost an afternoon, not a season.
Which one should you pick?
Go with VenVen if coffee is the whole business and you want the tool to know what that means: espresso versus drip participation rates, ZIP-level cold-brew pricing, commissary compliance, oat-milk cost cascades. Pricing is lower ($29 versus $49 to $199), Pro charges 0% on top of Stripe (Flashquotes adds 3%), and the Free plan runs real events.
The fee gap compounds. On $40,000 of bookings in a year, Flashquotes' 3% platform fee is $1,200 on top of what Stripe already takes, every year, before the monthly subscription. VenVen Pro is $288 a year on the annual plan and adds nothing on top of Stripe. The more you book, the more that 3% looks like a tax on growth.
Go with Flashquotes if you run a food truck, bartending service, or photo booth alongside coffee. Their cross-vendor breadth is the right fit when coffee is one leg of a mixed catering operation, and one login across vendor types is worth more to you than coffee depth on any single one.
Flashquotes is a wider net. VenVen is a deeper one. If your next twelve months are mostly coffee gigs and the thing you keep guessing at is what to charge and whether the gig was worth it, the depth wins. If you are stitching together several kinds of mobile events, the breadth wins. Pick for the business you actually run, not the one on the busiest weekend of the year. Here is the full case for coffee cart software.
